Fresh Fruits & Vegetables are Good for Your Dog

Some days the words just aren’t flowing when I write and I struggle to come up with a topic that is seasonal and that will interest my readers. Today was one of those days, but then I visited the Facebook page for my pet blogger support group:  BlogPaws News and Boost Group and I started reading some posts – Wow! – there are some crazy-good bloggers there and I quickly found an article that I know will be appreciated by all the pet lovers who visit my blog.  Aimee focuses on simple solutions and easy recipes for pet owners who want to try the raw food diet for their pets, but she isn’t at all militant about her choices. She includes lots of great information you can use to incorporate all or part of a raw diet into your pet’s feeding cycle without a lot of advance planning and expensive shopping trips.

One of her articles is about which fruits and vegetables are safe and delicious for dogs. Many of them can be incorporated as snacks, etc., so it’s easy to do. Please take a moment to click on the link and go to Aimee’s blog, The Lazy Raw Feeder. If you don’t have time to browse through her entries, simply go directly to the fruits and vegetables article here:

Dog Friendly Fruits & Vegetables Guide.

Your dog will be so glad you checked out this list and that you’re incorporating new flavors and textures into his diet. Nothing is worse than being bored with the food you eat every day, so let Aimee show you how to liven things up with fresh foods on a budget. Tonight I’m trying broccoli on Soldier. I’ll let you know how that turns out!

Do you feed your dog fruits and vegetables? If so, we’d love to hear which ones were a hit with your dogs and which ones they turned up their noses at. Comment below!

Thanks so much for sharing my piece in your piece. I am so happy you found it useful. How did the broccoli work out?

Aimee, the broccoli was actually more of a hit than I thought it would be. Soldier snarfed it down pretty quickly, and he’s usually a picky eater. Next up will be cauliflower!
