The month of April is a particularly busy month in terms of events that focus in some way on pet ownership. In fact, the entire month of April is dedicated to this, as it’s National Pet Month in the U.K. (May is National Pet Month in the U.S.). Other pet holidays in the month of April include Heartworm Awareness Month (not fun, but important!), Animal Cruelty Prevention Month, and Adopt a Greyhound Month.

April 4th – World Rat Day
April 6th – Siamese Cat Appreciation Day
April 10th – National Hug Your Dog Day
April 11th – National Therapy Animal Day
April 16th – 22nd – National Pet ID Week
April 29th – World Veterinary Day
April 30th – National Tabby Day
