May 8th, 2017 is National Animal Disaster Preparedness Day. Although “National Animal Disaster Preparedness Day” is certainly a mouthful, it’s a day devoted to a very basic premise. Just like we need to be prepared for disasters and how they will affect the people around us, we have to be prepared for how a disaster will impact the animals around us.
